Tashkent Riverside Residences
A collection of 24 contemporary apartments overlooking the Ankhor Canal in Tashkent's rapidly evolving Mirzo Ulugbek district. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize natural light while deep-set balconies and perforated aluminum brise-soleil provide relief from the intense summer sun.
The building steps down from seven stories on the north to four stories along the canal, creating a terraced silhouette that respects the low-rise residential neighborhood to the south. Each unit features cross-ventilation through operable windows on opposing facades, reducing reliance on air conditioning during the mild spring and autumn months.
Ground-floor retail spaces house a café, a co-working studio, and a bicycle repair shop, activating the canal-side promenade that the development team rebuilt as part of the city's waterfront regeneration initiative. A shared rooftop garden with raised planting beds and a shaded pergola provides residents with outdoor communal space and views across to the Tien Shan foothills.
The structural system uses reinforced concrete flat slabs, allowing column-free interiors that owners can configure with lightweight partition walls. Standard unit sizes range from 65 m² one-bedroom apartments to 140 m² three-bedroom family homes, all delivered as open shells so buyers can work with ANK's interior design team or their own designers to create bespoke layouts.
Sustainability features include a centralized heat-pump system for hot water, rainwater harvesting for landscape irrigation, and a green roof assembly that reduces stormwater runoff by approximately 60%.
